Tonopah is our first Weimaraner. He has and continues to exceed our every expectation. We originally wanted a wonderful
hunting partner, brilliant companion, outgoing energetic new family member and of course, a cuddler and snuggler. What
we got was all of that plus the moon and stars. Tonopah finished his championship before we ever figured out winners dog,
winners bitch, best of winners and best of breed. He went on many best of breed wins and in 2004, at the age of 6 we
decided to campaign him into the top 10 — which took only three months! His show dog career is in semi-retirement with
us only showing him a couple times a year and only at specialties. Even as a veteran, Tonopah manages to pull off major
wins including award of merits and as recently as the last show — Best of Opposite. We continue to hunt upland game with
Tonopah and he continues to be an excellent, instinctive hunter — with the focus that is the envy of others who often
stop to watch him work the field.
